This page is continually updated with the books I’m currently reading and have finished reading.

For those curious, I do most of my reading on an iPad Mini using Apple Books (yes, I’m an Apple fanboy). While I love the feel of a “real” book and own quite a few (mostly back in Canada), the convenience of digital reading is hard to beat.

A few of my "real" books I have with me here in China

When it comes to genres, I tend to bounce between biographies, history, technology, photography, music, and Stoicism - in no particular order. If I do read fiction, it’s usually science fiction.

Currently Reading (July 2025)

I'm currently reading three books, one non-fiction and two fiction. Not including the Daily Stoic which is kind of always in the rotation.

Jaws

I recently rewatched Jaws and have since become a little obsessed with it! I was watching a 50th anniversary documentary, and it talked a lot about the novel (of course), so I decided to give it a read. I'm curious to read about some of the plot points that were left out of the movie.

Dune

I adored the Dune movies, and I got partway through the novel in the time between the two. I've started it again from scratch, as I want to finish it so I can read Dune Messiah before that movie gets released at some point.

Madonna: A Rebel Life

This was a spur of the moment purchase. I've always respected Madonna and loved many of her songs throughout her long career, so I thought I'd give this book a shot.
